The Knight and his Lady - Sant Jordi y su dama

Una de las principales leyendas en Cataluña es la de Sant Jordi, un caballero medieval que hace muchos siglos salvó a la hija del rey que había sido secuestrada por un dragón malvado...Sant Jordi mató al dragón y de la sangre derramada caída al suelo, nació un rosal, símbolo del amor entre Sant Jordi y la princesa.

Como homenaje a esta leyenda, he tejido un caballero y su dama, utilizando lana de colores y tapones de corcho. La idea, tan sencilla de realizar como creativa y original, la encontré en el blog de Lucy Ravenscar:

Ella ha creado un ejército de caballeros con tapones de corcho y también muestra como hacer simpáticos ninjas de la misma forma.

Yo tejí mi caballero y luego realicé una pequeña variación para la dama. Ahora sólo me falta el dragón para completar esta fantástica leyenda!!!

One of the main legends in my country Catalonia is the one that talks about Sant Jordi , a medieval knight who, many centuries ago, saved the king's daughter that had been kidnapped by an evil dragon ... Saint George killed the dragon and, from the blood spilled on the ground was born a rose, the symbol of the love between Saint George and the princess.

As a tribute to this legend, I have crocheted a knight and his lady, using coloured wool and some cork. The idea, so simple, creative and original, I found it in Lucy Ravenscar's blog:

I crocheted my knight and then made a small change in order to make the lady. Now I just need the dragon to complete this amazing legend!
